Day 1

Pickup: National Car Rental

Day 2

Elk Island Park and Canoe Discovery Tour

Join us as we experience beautiful boreal forest and wetlands hiking, bird and bison-watching and local storytelling. The protective environment of Elk Island Park has an abundance of species including Plains and Wood Buffalo, over 250 species of birds and of course: Elk! To top off the day, there will be a one-hour lake canoeing adventure!

Day 3

Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site

Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site is one of Canada’s fine examples of how the fur trade helped shape the nation. Enjoy exhibits, walk through archaeological remains of the four forts, get hands-on experience from local Métis people as they teach you about the fur trade. Stay awhile and camp in trapper’s tents and tipis with members of Metis Local and the Indian & Metis Friendship Centre of Rocky Mountain House.
